Adults Thai Boxing

Thai Boxing is a great way to get fit in a fun, safe and controlled environment. At Diesel Gym we teach everyone from beginners through to those who compete. If you have a busy schedule we’ve made it easy with multiple classes running throughout the day in our state-of-the-art gym which is located in the heart of Joondalup.

Our team of highly experience trainers have been handpicked with an abundance of knowledge between them and come from a professional competing and coaching background. We have an active fight team and multiple title holders, so you know you are
being taught by and training with the very best. From our Thai Boxing classes you will learn self-defence, build confidence and develop new skills while getting in the best shape of your life. We cater to all fitness levels, train in a team environment and encourage you to get through classes at your own pace.

Beginners Classes

This is our entry level class for someone who has never trained Thai boxing before. Learn basic Thai Boxing Strikes, Defences and Pad Holding skills.

Consider the following benefits:

  • Thai boxing will improve your balance and coordination
  • Our classes are a great way to burn calories and improve your fitness levels, fast
  • Classes are focused on fitness – there is NO CONTACT involved (All Level’s Classes)
  • Suitable for ages 17 and up
  • A partner of equal size and strength (e.g. if you’re “vertically challenged” bring a friend of similar height to work with in the class!)

The fundamentals class is a Thai Boxing technique class, you will learn all the attacks and defences in a fun, exciting non-contact environment. Fundamentals is based around technique, fitness with no sparring or clinch. You will require a basic knowledge of Thai Boxing and pad holding skills, gloves of any size and soft shin pads.

Intermediate Classes

Thai Boxing

Intermediates is our technical sparring and fitness based class. Whilst still learning the aspects of Thai Boxing strikes and defences you will get to practice them on each other lightly. This class is for members who have trained regularly but don’t like hard contact, or a new member who has trained in our Fundamentals class for a minimum of 4 months

Admittance to this class requires the correct equipment and approval from the head instructor, it is designed to build sparring and clinch skills, highly focused on technique, timing with precision and fitness.

Advanced/Fighters Classes

Thai Boxing

The Advanced level class is our sparring and clinch class, it is designed for a seasoned Thai Boxing enthusiast and our up and coming competitors who are wanting to practice and hone sparring and clinch skills. To enter the advanced class, you must speak to the head trainer if you have previous experience, or by passing the advanced try outs which are held every 2 months for Intermediates who wish to progress.

Entry to this class is restricted – full sparring gear required, 16-ounce gloves, leather shin pads, mouth guard and groin guard.
